Bird photography and video with the Canon and Panasonic Lumix FZ100 SX30
With the equivalent of 834 mm focal length 35 of the Canon SX30 this camera is a useful complement to the photographer of birds, rather than a reflection, a lot (aka expensive) telephoto lens and the need for a monopod / tripod. This demo video shows some of the problems with the Canon SX30, when used for this purpose. The FZ100 is no optical zoom, the Canon and even crop the picture is not as good as the Canon. In this sense, long-lens photography must FZ100be rejected. The only question is, to identify gaps in this video. If the images still only after it has been possible to send your video needs simple and the results are good enough for most users, while being aware of all issues requiring a decision. I would like the FZ100 is better than the zoom camera with full manual control is excellent, maybe even a teleconvertor able to provide enough resolution? Shot in Heaton Park in Manchester, byCanopus Edius 5 and presented as a WMV file.
